Originally from the Bay Area, Rachel grew up in the small town of Forest Knolls, a close-knit community hidden within the hills of Marin County.
From a young age, Rachel loved to cook alongside her father who was a professional chef. For a portion of her early years, their family owned a restaurant. This was her first taste of culinary culture – which she would later revisit in life.
After graduating college with a degree in journalism, she began reporting at a local news station, where she solidified her writing skills and developed as a well-rounded storyteller.
